  is this statement on page 5 "though the surgeon performs the actual operation, is he more important?

  it is hard to say.".

  meant to be translated "is the guy more important to the gal?

  They are being deliberately ambigous in order to confuse. If you WANT to believe they are being respecfful towards women, then you easily can, but if you are looking at it reasonably and considering what we know is their real attitude, you won't.

  its not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.

  it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.

  this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

  i didn’t really care for anthony very much.

  at the time of this story he was 13 or 14 years old, a clever and precocious kid down the hall.

  he was extremely zealous about the truth and took it, and himself, very seriously.

  Oh, that's a little funny, but really sad too. I think most of us know an Anthony: so straightlaced, so theocratic- so frickin' annoying!

  But...that Pat sounds worse. Sounds like a d*ckhead. Who would do that to someone? Public humiliation like that? Ugh.
